We have compiled all the figures from 2009 related to certification programs hosted by the Arizona ACI Chapter. In 2009 we administered 6 different ACI certification programs in a total of 50 different sessions conducted in Phoenix, Tucson, Yuma and Flagstaff. These programs included Field Testing Technician Grade 1, Strength Testing Technician, Aggregate Testing Technician Level 1, Concrete Construction Special Inspector, Concrete Transportation Special Inspector, and Flatwork Finisher Certification. In addition, we assisted with two additional programs at World of Concrete in 2009: Tilt-Up Supervisor and Commercial/Industrial Flatwork Finisher. We are able to conduct both of these programs in Arizona as needed. For 2010 we will also be adding the Laboratory Testing Technician Level 2 program, with two sessions already scheduled in Phoenix.

The numbers are as follows:

· Field Testing Technician Grade 1 – 415 Written Exams administered with a passing rate of 78% and 355 Performance Exams administered with a passing rate of 98%

· Strength Testing Technician – 103 Written Exams administered with a passing rate of 83% and 94 Performance Exams administered with a passing rate of 97%

· Aggregate Testing Technician Level 1 – 12 people tested with a passing rate of 100%

· Concrete Construction Special Inspector and Transportation Inspector Programs – 13 people tested with a passing rate of about 70%

· Flatwork Finisher Certification – 38 people tested with a passing rate of 66%
