ASU OSHA Training Institute Education Center

The Western OSHA Education Center at Arizona State University is a program run under a cooperative agreement between ASU and the US Department of Labor and is the Only OSHA Training Center in the country that is housed in a construction management program.  Come hear about the latest updates regarding OSHA and safe working practices that pertain to our industry.  Topics include:

     * The new OSHA reporting requirements that will take  effect in 2015.

     *  The proposed new standard for silica exposure in construction.

     *  Crane operator certification requirements.

     *  Update on Federal OSHA in Arizona.

     *  Other pending changes to construction industry regulations.

Speaker:  Jim Rogers is the Director of ASU's OSHA Training Institute Education Center.  He has been in the concrete industry for over 20 years and is an active ACI member.  He writes a monthly safety column that appears in Concrete Construction Magazine and was featured at World of Concrete in a panel discussion on OSHA's proposed new silica standard and its potential effects on the concrete industry.
