Construction Outlook

The construction industry is beginning to show indications of a recovery, but challenges still cloud the picture. Are we in the midst of a strong upturn or will we continue to muddle along?  What are the issues that will have the most impact on construction and what should the industry expect?  McGraw-Hill Construction is in a unique position to provide a knowledgeable perspective on the economy and the construction industry.  Please join Cliff Brewis, McGraw-Hill Construction’s Senior Director of Strategic Initiatives, as he reviews the construction outlook.

The program will begin by reviewing the national economy, including a discussion of the major economic influences on construction.  From there, Cliff will analyze a number of construction segments, including housing, commercial, institutional public works and more.  He will provide McGraw-Hills forecast and the reasoning behind the numbers.  Essentially, the presentation is an effort to “make sense of it all” and to help you prepare for the future.

Cliff Brewis is part of the management team responsible for the newsgathering operations at McGraw-Hill Construction Dodge.  In addition, Cliff has been at McGraw-Hill for over 30 years in sales, planning and operations.  He has worked in Detroit, Grand Rapids, Washington D.C. and San Francisco.  Cliff has worked for a subcontractor and a building product manufacturer earlier in his career.  Cliff is a founding member of a joint AIA/AGC committee on Integrated Project Delivery in California.  Cliff is a graduate in Economics from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor and has an MBA from American University in Washington D.C.
